Manchester I

Visited Manchester on the 16th of November, the day of Ryan's 20th. Such a long bus ride, took about 4 hours if I remember correctly. Upon reaching, we checked into our serviced apartment at Princess Street near Gay's street. Walked to the bus stand which took about 20 minutes to hitch a ride to the Old Trafford.

Our stay for the night

Could hardly believe my eyes when I was here, though not an avid football fan.

Bought tickets for the museum and tour for the stadium which cost us around 12 pounds each cause we had some discount thing.

The legendary theatre of dreams.

The Munich disaster that took away lives of many players:

Proceeded to the players' lounge where they rest, change, and catch up with their families.

Marching in the stadium with the anthem playing in the background, as though we were the players.
With Mr Alan, our guide.
That's where the team players are seated! ;)
Finished off with a visit to the gift shop.

Departed next to to Lowry bridge and a nearby shopping centre before heading back for dinner.

Dinner at a typical pub/restaurant which I didn't really enjoy the atmosphere cause it was really noisy and it was more of a pub-ish place. Food was mediocre, nothing to rave about.

Fish and chips
Calamari
Beef burger
Sticky bbq ribs
Gammon and eggs
Steak
Roast chicken
Venison sausage and mash

Surprised the birthday boy with a cake in the hotel instead cause it was too cliche to do it in the restaurant and it was too noisy. Checked out a club in the town that night but t'was not to our liking due to the crowd, music and atmosphere. Lol.

Came back and surprised Wendy too cause she turns 20 on the 17th. Talk about coincidental following birthday dates.

Visited Liverpool the next day: next post up!
